Ride up to Blacksoil

I was a little antsy today and really felt like blowing out the cobwebs so I buzzed a few blokes to see who was free and/or who wanted a ride and Dave decided he had a little bit of time so we jumped on the bikes and went to Col's for a cuppa.

Trouble was I'd only been to Col's twice before...and that was some 3 years ago....and I didn't bring his address or phone number but HEY...it was a good day for a ride and I'm not QUITE senile...yet...so I relied on my memory.

I was CLOSE.

I reckon if your within 200 yards of your exact address, that is NOT lost.

We were up Blacksoil way and I stopped an old fella in a beat up old van and asked if he was a local...Yup...do you know Col? Yup...follow me young fella he said and took me up the road a tad to the front gate.

Had a couple of cups of coffee and a good ol yarn out on the deck and checked out the new Sporty of Sandy's (Col's wife).

Pretty warm up there today as well, Beemer Dave was giving me regular temp readings and I think he said it was 38 (but I may have been mistaken there).

The clouds started rolling in from out west and I reckoned I got wet enough last outing so we headed back home. Just got a short burst just before the Mackenzie turn off, enough to cool us down.

Nice ride, there n back in 4 & half hours (including the coffee and chat).
